Hi everyone💜! After the initial launch of the Beans open beta we have been going steady for a couple of weeks now. With everything going so smoothly, we were able to onboard many new users to the app, which has us excited and hungry for more. And what do you think? More is coming!

Beans News!

In the 2 months after Beans went open beta we have been onboarding a lot of new Beans users! We have been running successful media campaigns in Argentina and Spain, and we also saw a great influx of users from the US, Japan, Italy, and the Netherlands. With the Beans app seeing daily user activity reaching new highs, we are on a steady pace to conquer the international remittance space!

Video contest 📹

(Starting the week of 22 May) We all know how amazing the MoneyGram cash on/off-ramp functionality is for transferring funds between MoneyGram locations around the world. And now, we want to see how you’re using it in your daily life! Beans is offering a $50 reward for the best 3 videos showcasing your positive MoneyGram use case. We want to see how you’re utilizing Beans and MoneyGram, whether it’s for sending money to family and friends, paying bills, or any other purpose!

New and coming app features!

Direct BTC deposits ₿

(Coming soon) As we want to support as many currencies in the app as possible, and with BTC being the most well-known cryptocurrency at this moment, we decided to integrate a direct deposit and withdrawal portal into the app! Direct BTC deposits will be wrapped in new app functionality, allowing you to complete all the KYC steps without ever leaving the Beans app. This will be the first step towards a completely integrated Beans app!

In-app Know Your Customer (KYC)

(Coming soon) New Stellar and partner developments will allow Beans to integrate in-app KYC checks when depositing and withdrawing your currencies in the Beans app! This means a more streamlined and user-friendly experience, less hassling with different or difficult interfaces, and an even quicker way to get your money where you want it!

Multiple currency support 💱

(To be released) With so many currencies in the app, we thought it would be a useful feature if you could actually have different payment balances as well! With this feature, you are able to have multiple payment balances in multiple different currencies. When transferring money you can choose from which payment account the balance will be taken, and when receiving the money it will be added to your main balance!

In-app challenges ✔️

(Coming soon) As a means to improve the in-app engagement, we are integrating a challenges reward system, allowing us to set up challenges and distribute monetary rewards if they have been completed. Some examples of challenges could range from setting up a profile picture to depositing/withdrawing, to sending money overseas. If you have a cool idea for a challenge, let us know!
