Beans app

to the open beta! This combined a lot of great happenings and new features, which you will read all about in this newsletter. Let’s get into it!

Beans News!

So important things first; Beans officially launched into the open beta! That means no invite codes and long waiting lists anymore, as the app is available for download for everyone! We opened the Beans app on the 1st of February, together with a 200$ giveaway, which resulted in more traffic across our social media than we have ever seen before. Good job y’all! We introduced some amazing new features and updates which should be a welcome addition to all users.

Open beta release

When downloading the app you are now prompted to create an account that sets you up with the Beans app together with the account recovery feature, which you can read more about later in the newsletter. Open beta means that the app is still a “work-in-progress”, but we are confident enough that most users can use Beans without any problems!

Paris blockchain week

Always wanted to meet the Beans team in real life? We’ve got you covered! On March 22nd and 23rd, Beans will be present at the Paris Blockchain Week.

New and coming app features!

Account recovery 🔒

The most anticipated feature, account recovery, is now live! Using decentralized servers and Beans you are now able to store your seed phrase in a secure and safe manner using your email, phone number, pin code, and secondary email. You’ll never have to remember a private key anymore, and the chances of getting hacked through the compromise of your seed phrase have almost been completely diminished!

New languages 🏳️‍🌈

Have you noticed the new languages in the app already? We now support the Japanese 🇯🇵, Portuguese 🇵🇹, and Turkish 🇹🇷 languages in the app! Thanks to some amazing community members we were able to push these languages so quickly to the app. Would you like to see your language supported in the app as well? Reach out to us and we will make it happen!

New stablecoin partners 💵

We are excited to announce a few new amazing onboard and stablecoin partnerships! We have partnered up with Stably, which will onboard US users to the app by providing them with a way to make bank transfers from and to Beans. Through stably you’ll be able to deposit USD tokens to beans and send them across the globe!

For example to our other new partner; nTokens! nTokens provides a way for our Brazilian friends to onboard to and from Beans by providing them a way to make bank transfers and use their hard-earned BRL. They can now use their BRL to send cross-border and cross-currency transactions!

Cash deposits and withdrawals through Moneygram 🪙

Ever wanted to make a deposit or withdraw fiat cash with Beans? We got you covered! We will soon launch our integration of the Moneygram service, which enables just that. The Moneygram integration will allow users in over 140+ countries to deposit and withdraw cash at over 350.000 locations. Over 1.7B people do not have access to a bank account, but through this partnership with Moneygram, they will all have a chance to send and receive money across the globe through the Beans app!

So, what’s next?

We are working hard on improving the app visually and structurally. The Moneygram integration is still one of our top priorities, just like solving the bugs and feedback users of the Beans app provide to us. We are working on a new website, as well as the ability to change your personal information and username in the app (which is important for account recovery). Some exciting stuff is going on in the background, and we are already looking forward to share all the exciting news and features in the next news letter. Keep on building! 🔥
